For the last six decades Central Government Health Scheme is providing comprehensive medical care to the Central Government employees and pensioners enrolled under the scheme. In fact CGHS caters to the healthcare needs of eligible beneficiaries covering all four pillars of democratic set up in India namely Legislature, Judiciary, Executive and Press.

The O/o Additional Director, CGHS Chandigarh, M/o Health and family Welfare, GOI intends to engage retired staff on contractual basis for CGHS Wellness centres at JAMMU, AMRITSAR, SHIMLA and SRINAGAR, against the sanctioned, VACANT posts of Medical officer, Pharmacist, Nursing Officer, MTS and LDC (Clerk) .
Only retiree from State govt/Central Govt/PSUs and Autonomous bodies are eligible to apply for the available posts for a period of 180 days ONLY or till the joining of regular staff for which the recruitment is under process. The maximum age limit will be 65 years for paramedical and clerical staff and 70 years for doctors.
The eligible candidates may submit the essential documents in the respective Wellness centre or to this office. The selected candidates will be appointed only after confirmation from the CGHS Directorate, New Delhi.
