The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.
Post : Junior Research Fellow (One)
Applicants are invited for the following post of JRF on contract basis in an ICMR funded Project “Study of 196 G/A polymoiphism in BDNF gene and association of serum level of BDNF with nutritional marker, inflammatory marker and oxidative status with response to treatment of major depressive disorder in north Indian patients” under Dr. Sant Ram, Associate professor, Department of Biochemistry, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
Essential qualification : Post Graduate degree in Basic life sciences (Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, human genetics etc.) along with National Eligibility tests- CSIR/UGC/ DST/ DBT/ ICMR/GATE etc.
Desirable : At least 1-2 year of wet lab experience in handling blood and tissue samples, molecular techniques etc. Age limit: As per ICMR rule
Salary : As per ICMR guidelines
