Online applications are invited for post of Junior Research Fellow at AIIMS

The AIIMS, Bhopal is a huge establishment sprawling in 150 acres having a large hospital complex, residential complex, hostels, Medical College, Nursing College (Centre of Excellence in Nursing Education) and other essential services. At present the bed strength of the hospital services is 793 with 24 modular operation theatres, 42 functional departments that include 22 speciality, 14 super-speciality and 6 other departments, catering to an average footfall of around 46264 OPD per month and 1609 IPD patients per month.

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of a Junior Research Fellow in the SERB funded research project titled "Genetic Diversity of Nontuberculous Mycobacteria in Central India : Rapid Identification and Differentiation of Mycobacterium species by PCR-restriction enzyme analysis -hsp6gene and 16S-23S ITS region of rDNA". Junior Research Fellow
Essential Qualification : M.Sc Biotechnology/ M.Sc Microbiology / M.Sc Biochemistry/ M.Sc Life Sciences with at least 60% marks.
Desirable : Expertise in TB culture and Molecular Biology techniques such as nucleic acid isolation, PCR, RFLP.
Age Limit : Upper age limit 28 years on the date of interview.
Duration : Tenure of the Junior Research Fellow post is till 28 Jan 2022. (If Project is extended by funding agency, the Tenure will also be extended depending on fund availability).

Emolument : Rs. 31,000/-+16 % HRA, as per rules of SERB, DST New Delhi.
Mode of Selection : Selection of the candidate will be done by personal interview. No TA/DA will be provided for this interview.

In case the candidate has published peer reviewed article(s), PUBMED ID and the first page of the article(s) should be presented at the time of document screening. Selected candidate will need to provide original documents for the verification at the time of joining, failing which the offer will stand cancelled.
