The Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, was established on October 20,1995 by an Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana with the objectives 'to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education with focus on new frontiers of technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non-conventional energy sources and management studies and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields'. It was formally inaugurated on November 1, 1995. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, a saint environmentalist of 15th century. Keeping in view the nature of courses offered at the university and the mandate for which it had been established the name of the university has been changed as Guru Jambheshwar university of Science & Technology.
Post : Junior Research Fellow
Applications are invited for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DBT sponsored research project entitled “Development of Novel Fluorescent Platforms for the Detection of Heavy Metals in Water”, sanctioned to the undersigned. The duration of the project is three years (i.e. upto 31-01-2021).
Essential Qualifications:
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences who have NET/BET/GATE qualified.
Post Graduate Degree in Professional Courses.
Desirable: Research experience in the area of Nano Science and Technology.
Salary: Rs. 25.000/- + 10% HRA pm for 1st & 2ndyear and Rs. 28,000/- + 10% HRA pm for 3rd year)
The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project. Other terms & conditions will be governed as per guidelines issued by the funding agency/University for the above project staff as amended from time to time. The performance of JRF will be evaluated every year and extension will be given on satisfactory performance.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
