About University
Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, the only women's university for both the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana was established in 1983 by the then Chief Minister Sri. N.T. Rama Rao. The University is located in the temple town of Tirupati in a serene campus spread over 138.43 acres with all necessary infrastructure to run its academic programs. SPMVV has established itself as a center for research in emerging areas. It is accredited with A Grade by NAAC in 2016. Since its inception, with highly gualified teachers and well eguipped laboratories large number of women students are being trained in all aspects of life and are being well furnished to contribute to the social, political and moral development of the society.
