Qualification:
PhD in any branch of Life Sciences/MBBS (with one year internship) having uniformly outstanding academic records and proven ability for high quality R&D work
Desirable experience: mammalian cell culture, laboratory animal handling, experience in oncology-related experiments, including patient-data handling, experience in performing genomics: RNA/DNA-sequencing using next generation sequencing methods; analysis of next generation sequencing data; familiarity with scientific management/coordination of projects.
Age: below 40 yrs
Emoluments: As per CSIR Quick Hire Scheme
Tenure: One year
Project Assistant
No.of Post: 1
Qualification:
M.Sc./B.Tech. in any branch of Life Science with two year experience in research laboratory in coordination of scientific projects
Age: below 30 yrs
Emoluments: Rs. 18,000/- + HRA
Tenure: One year
Age is relaxable for SC/ST/ OBCs and Women candidates as per GOI/CSIR instructions.

These posts will be filled initially for a period of One year, which may be extended or curtailed, depending upon performance of the candidate(s). The services may be dispensed with at any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicant will have no claim, implicit or explicit, for consideration of his/her candidature for absorption against any other position in CSIR/IGIB/CSIR-Mayo Clinic Program.
Project Scientists are purely temporary positions and are associated only with the program mentioned above and therefore are co-terminus with the duration of the program. Only for the purpose of remuneration they will be equivalent to the range(s) of CSIR Quick Hire Fellows Scheme as per recommendations of the Selection Committee on the basis of their qualifications, experience, research papers published/ patents filed and performance in the interview. Decision of the competent authority in this regard shall be final.

A duly constituted Screening Committee will short-list the applications. The short-listed candidates will be called for personal interview, to be conducted on Aug 12, 2013. Candidates called for interview will be informed about timings and venue of interview through email separately. No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview. Candidates may also converse in Hindi in interview.
