Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM) is dedicated to scientific research and science education of international standards. Traditionally, teaching has been segregated from research in undergraduate science curricula in our country. IISERs were established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, to bridge this dichotomy. IISER-TVM started functioning in August 2008.
Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Chemistry
Applications with complete bio-data including phone number, email and postal address along with photocopies of educational/professional qualifications are invited from Indian nationals for a temporary post of JRF on a DST sponsored project (Ramanujan Fellowship).
Eligibility: MSc. Chemistry with 60 % marks. Preference will be given to those who have experience in organic synthesis or working in pharmaceutical company.
Age: The upper age limit shall be 28 years on the day of application. A relaxation of 5 years is applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ST candidates.
Mere fulfillment of qualifications/experience requirements does not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for telephonic and/or personal interview. Selected candidate will be intimated by email. No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding reasons for not being called for interview, conduct and result of interview. No TA/DA is permissible for attending the interview. The initial appointment will be for a year but extendable to more years based on the performance.
