The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences is a multidisciplinary Institute for patient care and academic pursuit in the frontier area of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences. The Lunatic Asylum which came into being in the latter part of the 19th Century was renamed as Mental Hospital in 1925 by the erstwhile Government of Mysore. This hospital and All India Institute of Mental Health established in 1954 by the Government of India were amalgamated on 27th December 1974, and thus was formed the autonomous National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS). The priority gradient adopted by the Institute is service, manpower development and research. Multidisciplinary integrated approach is the mainstay of this Institute, paving the way to translate the results from bench to bedside. On November 14, 1994, NIMHANS was accorded the status of Deemed University by the University Grants Commission, with academic autonomy.
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following posts from the desirous candidates who fulfill the below mentioned criterion on contract basis under the Department of Neuroimaging and Interventional Radiology of this Institute.
Post : Scientist
Scientist B- Physicist (CYCLOTRON) - 01(ONE) post
Educational Qualification :
a) M.Sc in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent from recognized University or Institute
OR
i) M.Sc in Physics/ Biophysics/ Medical Physics/ Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics from recognized University or Institute.
ii) Post graduate Diploma in medical radioisotope technology from recognized university or Institute.
b) Should possess certificate from regulatory body (AERB, BARC and Mumbai) to work as RSO
Experience : 1 year working experience in cyclotron operations.
Upper Age Limit : 35 years (If Ph.D candidate age may be relaxed upto 40 years)
Pay Band : As per 7th CPC Basic Pay is R.56,100/- P.M plus admissible allowances as per rules.
Period : Appointment is initially for a period of one year which can be extended for a further period based on recommendation of the HOD & satisfactory performance of duties or till the post is filled on regular basis.
Scientist B - (Radio Chemist) - 01(ONE)
Educational Qualification :
M.Sc in Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry/ Medical Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Nuclear Medicine/ BE-Chemical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
Desirable: Ph.D in subject concerned/ allied subject of Indian University or its equivalent Ph.D Degree from a foreign University recognized as such by association of Indian Universities.
Experience : 1 year working experience in cyclotron operations and radio pharmacy.
Upper Age Limit : 35 years (If Ph.D candidate age may be relaxed upto 40 years)
Pay Band : As per 7th CPC Basic Pay is R.56,100/- P.M plus admissible allowances as per rules.
Period : Appointment is initially for a period of one year which can be extended for a further period based on recommendation of the HOD & satisfactory performance of duties or till the post is filled on regular basis.
