The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) at S.A.S Nagar (Mohali) created as a Centre of Excellence for imparting higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences and management is the first Institute of its kind in the country. The Institute was declared as an Institute of National Importance by Government of India through an Act of Parliament, notified on 26th June 1998. The Institute is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. During the years 2007 and 2008, Government of India established six more NIPERs.

The Government of India through an Act of Parliament (as per notification dated 26th June, 1998) established the first National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) in the country at S.A.S Nagar (Mohali) as a Centre of Excellence for imparting higher education, research, and development in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Management. During the years 2007 and 2008, the Government of India established six more NIPERs.

Dr. Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences (DRILS) is a not for profit Research Institute with a mission to be the preferred research partner to the pharma and life sciences industry. DRILS focuses on original research and advancement of relevant skills, with emphasis on solution-oriented interdisciplinary research both for solving unmet needs as well as process innovation.

PharmaNEST is an international conference that welcomes personnel from a plethora of industries such as Pharmaceutical, Regulatory, Academia, Research and many others focused on the betterment of the healthcare system. The conference focuses on developing various formulations such as innovations, current trends, discoveries that will ultimately help in the development of the healthcare system.
