Govt. of India has launched the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) as a sub-mission under overarching National Health Mission (NHM) for providing quality primary health care services to the urban population, especially the urban poor and other vulnerable sectors of the society, vide resolution No. L.19017/1/2008-UH (Vol-III), dated 15/05/2013 of MoH&FW, Govt. of India.
