Candidate for direct recruitment to the service must possess a diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution and must also be registered with the State Pharmacy Council.

Officer of State Government of India/State statutory/Autonomous Bodies/Universities holding analogous post on regular basis. Or Officers from the post of Senior Pharmacist with three years of regular service in Level-06 or equivalent or above.
