The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak has been established by an Act of the Parliament of India. It came into existence by the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007 and came into action on July 2008. The jurisdiction of the University extends to the whole country and it is fully funded by the Central Government through the University Grant Commission. RCU has been setup by Ramchandra Chandravansi Welfare Trust (RCWT) which was registered in the year 2006. Since its inception, the mission of the founding fathers has been to spread education to ordinary citizens of India, particularly those hailing from backward regions of the state of Jharkhand and India. With very humble beginning of two Intermediate Colleges 15 years back, RCWT has transformed itself into a diverse and excellent educational complex of technical, professional and medical related academic institutions.

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Raebareli (NIPER-R) is “an Institute of National Importance” set up by an Act of Parliament under the aegis of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, to impart higher education and undertake advanced research in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology.
