Gurunanak Institute of Technology (GNIT) was established in 2003 at Panihati, West Bengal and belongs to the very eminent JIS GROUP Educational Initiatives. Kamla Nehru Mahavidyalaya, one of the pioneering institutions run by the society was started in 1983 with modest infrastructure and a few courses to offer.
