    The Indian pharmaceuticals market is the third largest in terms of volume and thirteenth largest in terms of value, as per a report by Equity Master. India is the largest provider of generic drugs globally with the Indian generics accounting for 20 per cent of global exports in terms of volume. Of late, consolidation has become an important characteristic of the Indian pharmaceutical market as the industry is highly fragmented.

    India enjoys an important position in the global pharmaceuticals sector. The country also has a large pool of scientists and engineers who have the potential to steer the industry ahead to an even higher level. Presently over 80 per cent of the antiretroviral drugs used globally to combat AIDS (Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome) are supplied by Indian pharmaceutical firms.

  • Conference on New Developments in Drug Discovery from Natural Products & Traditional Medicines at NIPER

    National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is an autonomous institute under the aegis of Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers, Government of India. NIPER a premier pharmaceutical institute in India, was created in 1994 by an Act of Parliament of India and declared an institute of national importance by the government. The institute offers Masters and Doctoral programs and is the first national level institute of India in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research. The students trained at NIPER are highly regarded in pharmaceutical industry. The success of NIPER has facilitated the setting up of six more similar institute, which have already started functioning at Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Hajipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Rae Bareli. With its internationally recognized expertise in drug target identification, validation, lead generation and optimization, impurity profiling, formulation and pre-clinical studies, NIPER is looking forward to explore the possibility of establishing collaborations with pharmaceutical industries in all aspects of drug discovery and development.

    ABOUT ADINA
    ADINA Group of Institutions (AGI) was established in 2005 under aegis of Shri. Prem Chand Jain Memorial Society for Education. At present, two institutes i.e. ADINA Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and ADINA Institute of Science and Technology are successfully running under the umbrella of AGI and some other institutions are also in pipe-line. We are providing research oriented education in its fully wi-fi campus, experienced faculty members and other facilities as per the norms and standards of AICTE, PCI and RGPV.     A two days International Conference “INNOVATE 16” on Use of National Medicines Policy and Bio-Statistics in Pharmaceutical Sciences was organized in Pulla Reddy Institute of Pharmacy, Dundigal, Hyderabad, Telangana, India in association with International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR)  on 28th and 29th Sep, 2016.

  • National Seminar on Price Regulations: Impact on Accessibility & Industry Perspective at Delhi

    Considering the Indian population, the country's economic condition including the unequal distribution of wealth and particularly, the overall health issues faced by a substantially high number of people, the government is very active in ensuring equitable distribution and availability of medicines and medical technologies at fair prices. In respect of the price control of drugs, the central government acts through the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), a body that was set up in 1997 especially for this purpose.

    Padmabhushan Dr B.V. Raju Foundation’s Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy in association with Association of Pharmacy Professionals conducted  5th Indo-African international Conference on “Recent Trends and Future Development in Pharmaceutical Sector” on 1st September 2016.

    Indian Pharmacy Graduates’ Association was established in the Year 1973. The association is registered as a society under the societies registration act, 1860. The association is affiliated to Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Association (IPCA), the Federal Body of the five associations namely IPGA, IPA, IHPA, APTI and AIDCOC. IPGA is a national level Association of Indian Pharmacy Graduates. It has been working from the last 30 years for the upliftment of professionals of Pharmacy. Present IPGA has more then 6000 Life members in 19 state branches all across the country. I PGA has been constantly engaged in conducting Workshops, Annual Conferences, Seminars and other activities to update the knowledge and skills of pharmacy professionals. It also publish quarterly news letters in the name of IPGA TODAY, which covers the various activities performed by the state branches and other article on recent advancement and pharmaceutical sciences. IPGA is a charitable professional organization and is exempted from contributions under the section 80G of Income Tax Act, 1961
