G. Pulla Reddy College of Pharmacy is established in the year 1994-95, sponsored by G. Pulla Reddy Charities Trust, under the chairmanship of Late Sri G. Pulla Reddy garu, a Philanthropist, social reformer and well known as Sweet Pulla Reddy. He has promoted several educational institutions under the Trust. The college is located in a beautiful campus in Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad. The campus is spread over in 5 acres of land in a calm & quiet natural habitat. Mehdipatnam is well connected to all corners of the city by local bus services. In this campus G. Pulla Reddy High School and G. Pulla Reddy Degree & PG College are also located.

GNI is one of the premier Institutions in the Country, developed into gateway of knowledge and inspiration. The institution offers graduate and post graduate over 7 discipline of Engineering. Computer application and Pharmacy. Around 9000 students from all over the country and more than 200 international students from various countries are part of academics. 700 plus strong team of faculty members are imparting academic instructions through research and Innovation. The Institution has been awarded “Best Place to Innovate” in UXINDIA-13 International Conference, at IIM Banglore, “Excellent Innovative Institute in AP” award by Consortium of Communication Media and Infrastructure CCMAI and “Award of Excellence” for Guru Nanak Educational Society by JNTUH. This Institute is hosting 3 International Conferences besides publishing 2 International Journals every year.

Devaki Amma Memorial Trust, established in 1997 made its first foray into the field of education in 2001, with the establishment of its Teacher Education College offering the B Ed course, with the approval of the NCTE. The Pharmacy College started functioning from 2003 with the B Pharm course and the Teacher Training Institute, offering the TTC (D Ed) course, commenced its academic programme in the year 2005. With the starting of the M Ed course in 2006, the Teacher Education College got itself elevated to a Post Graduate Centre. In the year 2009, the Trust reached another milestone by starting the M Pharm programme. The latest feather in the cap of the Trust is the “Devaki Amma’s Guruvayurappan College of Architecture”, which is the first academic institution of its kind in Kerala, meant exclusively for imparting education in Architecture.
