Smt.Sarojini Ramulamma college of Pharmacy is established in the year 1998 with a goal of promoting precision pharmacist to cater the needs of Pharmaceutical Industry, Clinical Pharma Research Institutions and Hospital-Clinical Pharmacy. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and affiliated to Palamuru university, Mahabubnagar, Telangana state.

NIPER is the fifth Institute to be included in the list of premier Institutes under the Department of  Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India. The NIPER started functioning  from the month of September, 2008.  The Institute is presently housed at the NIPS, Mirza, Kamrup, Assam. Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad is a premier R&D Institute in India. The Institute had its origin as the Central Laboratories for Scientific & Industrial Research (CLSIR), established in 1944 by the then Government of Hyderabad State. After integration of Hyderabad State with the Indian Union, the laboratory expanded with its growing activities. The main building was formally opened by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Prime Minister of India on January 2, 1954.

The Pharmaceutical education offering are possible concession pharmacy viz, D. Pharm., B. Pharm. & M. Pharm. in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacognosy. The campus is equipped with modern labs, classrooms, seminar hall, library, student centre for co-curricular activities, computer lab, academic and administrative blocks and other amenities for exclusive and widespread provision for indoor and outdoor games.
