An institution under the aegies of Azad Educational Society (AES). The AES was established and registered in September 1991 under the Society Registration Act 1860. AIPR was established in the year 2005 with the Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and was further elevated to offer post-graduate courses in pharmacy (M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy) with an independent campus located in a lush green picturesque landscape ideal for study and research. 
In keeping with its objective of providing the best possible pharmaceutical education, AIPR established state of art infrastructural facilities. Besides modern instruments and equipments, AIPR has also qualified, experienced and conscientious faculty. The faculty invests sincere efforts to impart the students best of contemporary education. Continuous interaction with industry is maintained to ensure that the learning program remains relevant according to the changing scenarios in pharmaceutical industry.

As a tribute to the founder Dr. Sam Higginbottom, who through his sincere services, hard work and dedication has contributed greatly towards enhancing the agriculture production in our Country, a proposal was submitted to Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi to re-christened Allahabad Agricultural Institute-Deemed University as “Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences”. In view of the above, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi vide communication bearing reference No. F.13-7/2008-U.3.A, dated September 22, 2009 has permitted Re-Christening of the Allahabad Agricultural Institute-Deemed University as: “SAM HIGGINBOTTOM INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURE, TECHNOLOGY & SCIENCES” (Formerly Allahabad Agricultural Institute), (Deemed-to-be-University).

G.H.G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusur Sadhar (Ludhiana) was established in 1984 under the aegis of governing Council, G.H.G. Khalsa College. Gurusur Sadhar (Ludhiana), a registered body already running two premier reputed Higher Education Institutions (HIE) in rural Punjab. The college is housed in a magnificent three storeyed building with 42,000 sq. ft. roofed area designed by Sh. H.S. Chopra, Formerly Additional Chief Architect Punjab. The foundation of this building was laid by H’ E. Sh V.V Giri, President of India in 1971. This building was primarily meant to accommodate Post Graduate Regional Rural Center. However the management soon felt the better utility of the same to start job/application oriented courses relevant to the needs of rural , downtrodden and weaker sections of society and hence a two year Diploma Course in Pharmacy was introduced to begin with.

Gokaraju Rangaraju College of Pharmacy (GRCP) creates an environment that opens up new worlds of opportunity. The institute is a DSIR recognized Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO), accredited by NBA, affiliated to Osmania University and approved by AICTE. Having four research departments such as pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis and quality assurance and pharmacology, many research staff and research scholars are contributing immensely to the scientific community. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research originated as École de Médicine de Pondichérry established by the French Government in the year 1823. This medical school was converted into Dhanvantari Medical College at the time of de facto transfer of Pondicherry to Government of India. This Medical College was later upgraded into Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER).
