The CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH) is a constituent R&D establishment of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) devoted to research in the frontline areas of Biology and Biotechnology of Microorganism with the state of art facility. CSIR is one of the world’s largest publicly funded industrial R&D organizations with about 4600 active scientists. CSIR-IMTECH is its youngest institute with state-of-the art research facilitates in microbial biology and biotechnology. CSIR-IMTECH thrives on multidisciplinary research with core strengths in the areas of biochemical engineering, protein sciences, bioinformatics and Infection & Immunity research. CSIR-IMTECH has track record of discovering novel bio-therapeutics. The Institute is also having a world class Microbial Type Culture Centre and Gene Bank (MTCC) – an International Depositary Authority (IDA). The Institute provided with a truly world class R&D ambience in an area of over 10,000 sq.ft with a dedicated team of more than 55 highly motivated scientists with a majority of them having several years of training in World Renowned Laboratories. The scientific staff is supported with more than 300 well trained Technical staff, Research Scholars.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is India's central agency authorised to conduct the Civil Services Examination, Indian Forest Service examination, Engineering Services Examination, Combined Defence Services Examination, National Defence Academy Examination, Naval Academy Examination, Combined Medical Services Examination, Special Class Railway Apprentice, Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, Combined Geoscientist and Geologist Examination, and Central Armed Police Forces(Assistant Commandant) Examination.
