Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, popularly known as GITAM was founded in 1980 by an inspired group of eminent intellectuals and industrialists of Andhra Pradesh led by Dr. M.V.V.S.Murthi, Former Member of Parliament and popular philanthropist. Their mission was to set up a world-class technology and management institution in the picturesque city of Visakhapatnam to impart futuristic and comprehensive professional education of global standards with a high sense of discipline and social relevance in a serene and invigorating environment. The avowed objective of GITAM is to train qualified professionals to shoulder the responsibility of contributing to the development of India as a “Knowledge Society”.

JIPMER imparts Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG) and Super speciality Medical Training through a working hospital (JIPMER Hospital) with a bed strength of 1500 and a Nursing College.  M.B.B.S., B.Sc. M.Sc., M.D., M.S., Degree Courses are offered in 32 various disciplines. Super speciality departments of Cardiology, Neurology,  CardiothoracicSurgery,Neurosurgery, Urology&  Neonatology,  Clinical Immunology,  Clinical  Pharmacology,  Clinical  Haematology  and  Surgical  Gastroenterology  also  offer D.M./M.Ch. Courses.  Fellowship courses are available in four disciplines.   Full-time Ph.D. Programmes are available in six disciplines.

Mewar University is an autonomous body set up by the Government of Rajasthan through Act. No. 4 of 2009, passed by the Rajasthan Assembly (Govt. of Rajasthan). The CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH) is a constituent R&D establishment of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) devoted to research in the frontline areas of Biology and Biotechnology of Microorganism with the state of art facility. CSIR is one of the world’s largest publicly funded industrial R&D organizations with about 4600 active scientists. CSIR-IMTECH is its youngest institute with state-of-the art research facilitates in microbial biology and biotechnology. CSIR-IMTECH thrives on multidisciplinary research with core strengths in the areas of biochemical engineering, protein sciences, bioinformatics and Infection & Immunity research. CSIR-IMTECH has track record of discovering novel bio-therapeutics. The Institute is also having a world class Microbial Type Culture Centre and Gene Bank (MTCC) – an International Depositary Authority (IDA). The Institute provided with a truly world class R&D ambience in an area of over 10,000 sq.ft with a dedicated team of more than 55 highly motivated scientists with a majority of them having several years of training in World Renowned Laboratories. Sarojini Naidu Vanita Pharmacy Maha Vidyalaya, sponsored by The Exhibition Society and established in 1997-98, is an all-women’s college. It was inaugurated in the existing campus of Sarojini Naidu Vanitha Maha Vidyalaya in Exhibition Grounds, Nampally by His Holiness Sri Sankaraacharaya Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamiji on 9th September,1998.
