It will come up in 525 acre of land at Simrol, 25 km from Indore. Union Human Resources Development Minister Mr. Arjun Singh laid the foundation-stone of the Institute on 17 February 2009. IIT Bombay is currently mentoring IIT Indore.

Sri Satya Sai Pharmacy Research Institute is one of the prestigious institutes in the field of Pharmacy.
