National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad is an "Institute of National Importance" with proclaimed objectives of becoming Centre of Excellence for advanced research in pharmaceutical sciences. NIPER-Mohali was the first institute established in the year 1998 under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the Govt. of India. Later, the DOP established 6 new NIPERs across the country including NIPER-Hyderabad which started functioning from 19th October 2007, from the premises of erstwhile R&D Centre of IDPL, Balanagar, Hyderabad.
Post : Project Associate
Applications are invited for the positions of Project Associate – 01 (PA-1) and Principal Project Associate for the project entitled “Creation of Nodal Centers for the Production of Imported APIs, KSMs, and Intermediates to Achieve Self-sufficiency in the Healthcare Sector” in the DST Cluster Scheme in the supervision of Prof Srinivas Nanduri (PI). The project is funded by the Department of Science and Technology DST, DST/TDT/TC/KSM/2022/02(G). The positions are for a period of one year only.
Essential Qualification for Project Associate – 01 (PA-1) : M.S / M.Pharm / M.Tech / M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Process Chemistry / Medicinal Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent. Research experience in organic synthesis, purification techniques, and spectral characterization will be preferred.
Salary : Rs.. 31,000+HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility tests- GPAT/GATE/CSIR/UGC/ICMR CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or (b) A selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions ii) and Rs. 25,000+HRA for others who don’t qualify
Essential Qualification for Principal Project Associate : Doctoral degree in Science/ Pharma with specialization in Organic Synthesis/ Medicinal Chemistry/ Process Development/ Semi-synthesis/ Natural products from a recognized University or equivalent
Salary : Rs. 49,000+HRA

h) Appointment will be contractual in nature and as per the Institute terms and conditions.

j) The position is temporary and is extendable till the completion of project subject to satisfactory performance.
