In the series of Expert Lecture organized by Nirma University, a lecture was organized on 12.04.16 on “Natural Bioactives and recent trends” by Mr. Vinay Kumar Singh-General Manager-Technical of Mikasa Cosmetics Limited, Ahmedabad.
It was well attended by students of Pharmacy & M.Sc.-Cosmetics Technology and professors of the Institute of Pharmacy. It covered most aspects of Nature and Natural substance being used in Cosmetics.
Mr. Singh elaborated various types of Natural Cosmetics viz. Herbal Cosmetics, Ayurvedic Cosmetics & Fermentation Cosmetics. Various Bio-engineered actives used as active for Cosmetics were also discussed.
He did talk about the effect of use of Un-natural material. The solution suggested by Mr. Singh for these Un-natural issues and future of Cosmetics according to him is “NATURAL COSMETICS”. Dr. Niyati Acharya, Associate Professor, Nirma University presided over the lecture.
