Aurobindo Pharma net dips 13 percent in Q2

Pharmaceutical manufacturer Aurobindo Pharma  it posted a standalone net profit of Rs.340.09 crore for the second quarter of 2015-16 against a net profit of Rs.391.66 crore in the same period last year, showing a 13.16 percent dip.

According to the statement of standalone unaudited results posted on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company's total income from operations rose to Rs.2,175.93 crore from Rs.2,007.70 crore while total expenditure increased to Rs.1,690.50 crore from Rs.1,468.66 crore.

On consolidated basis, Aurobindo Pharma posted a net profit of Rs.451.76 crore in Q2 against Rs.372.18 crore in the last quarter, while total income from operations rose to Rs.3,333.43 crore from Rs.2,881.22 crore.

Aurobindo Pharma incurred a total expenditure of Rs.2,650.65 crore in the reviewed quarter on a consolidated basis against Rs.2,333.86 crore in the previous quarter. IANS
