The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest medical research bodies in the world.
As early as in 1911, the Government of India set up the Indian Research Fund Association (IRFA) with the specific objective of sponsoring and coordinating medical research in the country. After independence, several important changes were made in the organisation and the activities of the IRFA. It was redesignated in 1949 as the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) with considerably expanded scope of functions.
A post of Research Assistant with following qualification is to be filled up in Cancer Monograph at Division of NCD-III at the ICMR Hqrs., New Delhi
Post: Research Assistant -Two
Salary: Consolidated salary of Rs. -21.140/- P.M. (fixed)
Qualification: M.Sc. Life Sciences/Statistics
Desirable: 2 sears research experience after post graduation.
Job Description:
Research Assistant is expected to assist Programme Officer in Coordination with ICMR centres. Litrature search relating to cancer. Compilation of information. preparation/scrutiny of reviews / monographs etc. and other related work.
Age: Below 30 years.
The post is to be filled up on purely temporary basis. The appointment is terminable with one month notice from either side. The incumbent selected will have no claim for regular appointment. No benefits of PF, LTC. and Medical Claim etc. are admissible.
