National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.

Post: Senior Research Fellow (Non-Medical)

Essential qualification: M.Sc, in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Bio-Chemistry with 2 years Research experience.

Age: 35 years, Relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per G.O.I. Rules.

Consolidated Salary: Rs.18,000/-p.m. (Fixed) + 30% HRA on it.

Tenure: only for one year.

Eligible candidates are invited to attend a WALK-IN-INTERVIEW / WRITTEN TEST at this Institute on 21st October, 2011 between 09.30 A.M. and 10.30 A.M. for filling up of One Senior Research Fellowship(Non-Medical) at this Institute.

The candidates should bring all original certificates of educational qualifications, experience and caste along with a set of photo copies of the same and a latest passport size photo, while attending the Walk-in-Interview/Written Test. No TA/DA will be paid for this Purpose.

General Conditions: ICMR/NIN Fellowship Rules are applicable for the above SRF. The selected candidate will have no right to claim for any regular employment at this Institute. The Director has the right to accept/reject any application without assigning any reason and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained.
