Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram is an Institute of National Importance established by an Act of the Indian Parliament and under the 2 administrative control of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The Institute signifies the convergence of Medical Sciences and Technology and its mission is to enable the indigenous growth of biomedical technology, besides demonstrating high standards of patient care in medical specialties and evolving postgraduate training programs. It has a hospital for tertiary care of cardiovascular and neurological diseases, and research programmes in the areas of basic and applied medical sciences, a Biomedical Technology Wing with facilities and research programmes for developing medical devices from a conceptual stage to commercialization, and The Achutha Menon Centre for Health Science Studies for training and research in public health.

Qualification & Experience(Essential)
JRF : 1st class MSc in Neurosciences/Physiology/ Zoology/Biochemistry with NET/GATE qualified
SRF : 1st class MSc in Biological Sciences and 2 years (post MSc) experience with biochemical estimation
RA : Ph.D in Neurosciences/Physiology/ Zoology/Biochemistry
Qualification & Experience (Desirable)
JRF : Experience in biochemical estimation
SRF : Ability to record electrophysiological signals and analyse signals, cognitive behaviour testing, biochemical estimation
RA : Experience in sleep research.
Emoluments per month:
JRF- Rs. 16,000/-+ 20% HRA (Consolidated) for those having NET and Rs. 12,000/-+ 20% HRA for NET with Lectureship only
SRF- Rs. 18,000/-+ 20% HRA (Consolidated) for those having NET and Rs. 14,000/-+ 20% HRA for NET with lectureship only
RA- Rs. 22,000/-+ 20% HRA (Consolidated).
Maximum age as on 30-9-2013
For JRF : 28 years
For SRF : 32 years
For RA : 35 years
Duration : Two years or till completion of the project whichever is earlier.
