The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest medical research bodies in the world.
As early as in 1911, the Government of India set up the Indian Research Fund Association (IRFA) with the specific objective of sponsoring and coordinating medical research in the country. After independence, several important changes were made in the organisation and the activities of the IRFA. It was redesignated in 1949 as the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) with considerably expanded scope of functions.
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the following purely temporary post under Golden Triangle Programm (GTP) and HIV/AIDS AYUSH programme in The Division of Basic Medical Sciences, Indian Council of Medical Research, Ansari Nagar,New Delhi.
The following posts are to be filled up under the extramural project entitled. "Creating an effective supporting system for the collection, compilation and dissemination of IP-related information in the area of health with special reference to disease of the poor" funded by Indian Council of Medical Research, Ansari Nagar. New Delhi-110 029.
Post: SRF, RA
Post: Sr. Research Fellow (Non-Medical) - (One)
Consolidated salary: Rs. 18,000 p.m. + H.R.A.
Qualification Essential: Master's degree in Life Science with at least 2 years experience in research and or IPR related work.
Desirable:
2 Years experience in handling the data on biological patents
Know ledge of using of patent data bases
Age: Up to 35 year (relaxation as per Govt, of India rules)
Post: Research Assistant - (One)
Consolidated salary: Rs. 21,140/- p. m. (Fixed) Qualification :Rssential: Master's degree in life Sciences
Desirable:
2 Years research and or IPR related experience
Knowledge of using of patent data bases
Age: Up to 35 year (relaxation as per Govt, of India rules)
The selected candidates shall work in the Intellectual Property Rights Unit of the ICMR.
