The CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology. Palampur (CSIR-IHBT) is one of the National Institute under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research which is an Autonomous Body. It is located on a 250 acres of land with the backdrop of snow-covered peaks of Dhauladhar Range in salubrious climate. The Institute is engaged in research and technology development programmes for sustainable managcmcnt of bioresources or the Himalayas. The Institute has successfully carried out mission-orientcd projects on tea. temperate floriculture and aromatic plants and is wcll equipped for Tissue culture and Biotechnology. Walk-in-Interview is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, the 15 th May, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. at this Institute for preparation of select panel of candidates for tentative 02 positions of Project Fellow(s) under the different Networked and Sponsored Projects on purely temporary basis for the duration of the project(s) which will be co-terminus with the duration of the projects.
Name of Position: Project Fellow - 2 posts
Stipend : Rs.14,000/-P.M.consolidated or as per the funds provisions in the respective project(s).
Educational Qualifications: M.Sc.in Botany/Forestry/Ecology/Plant Physiology with 55% Marks.

Age: 28 Years as on 15.05.2013.
Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST , 3 years for OBC and widows divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not remarried are allowed age concession up to the age of 35 years ,( Up to 40 years for members of SC / STs).
-No other women entitled for such relaxation. The number of positions as advertised may vary depending upon the suitability of candidates and assessed needs of the candidate(s) in the relevant projects.

The positions are purely temporary and co- terminus with the duration of the Projects . There will be no right implicit or explicit for regular position / upgradation or any post in CSIR-IHBT,whatsoever. Candidates must also bring with them original certificates of testimonials at the time of appearing for interview, failing which he/she will not be allowed to appear for interview.
