Post:  Product Manager

Job Description:
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring improvement in market share of the assigned brand by facilitating the field team in learning the product details and marketing opportunities, providing the team with relevant inputs to meet objectives, following up with vendors, handling logistics and support services to attain desired results.
Major responsibilities are listed below:
1. Top Line & Bottom Line Achievement:
a) Formulate Brand Wise Quarterly Communication
• Coordinate with Ad agency on Design and Development of Promotion Material
• Coordinate with various Vendors to get delivery as per deadline
b) Communicate Brand Strategy to field staff and ensure Implementation
i. Prepare Quarterly Business Plan Booklet for field, including explanation and detailing
ii. Update field employees through periodical circulars about Brand Achievement and Market Trends
iii. Visit selected areas each month for further reinforcement of Brand Communication
c) Arrange and Disburse Promotional Material and Initiatives
i. Coordinate with vendors on quality and quantity of promotional materials
ii. Geographical allocation of material to field staff
iii. Monitor deployment of material and initiatives for effective results
2. New Product Launch:
a) Identify Potential Areas for New Product Launch through –
i. ORG CMARC Trends
ii. Doctor feedback in Joint work/CME/Conferences
iii. Field Manager’s feedback
b) Analyze market potential for the new product
c) Conduct Market Research for ensuring the right volume and price of launch
d) Verify Viability of launch in consultation with Finance Team
e) Finalize Packaging
f) Prepare Sales Projection and sampling plan for period of 6 months – 1 year post launch
g) Chalk out and finalize promotional activities, Visual Aid for the new product and freeze deadlines
h) Ensure regional launch meetings for the new product through Regional Sales Managers

 

3. Field Work:
a) Work with field staff for at least 4-5 days in a month to understand
i. Current Market Trends
ii. Brand Performance
iii. Feedback of Doctors
4. Process Compliance:
a) Monitoring implementation of Brand Promotion activities

Candidate Profile:
1. Required Education: Graduate (Science/Pharmacy) with MBA
2. Minimum Experience:
• 3 to 4 years of work experience in Pharmaceutical industry
• Product Management experience is desirable

 

1. Analytical Ability: Ability to identify gaps in the market and strategize positioning of products. Ability to interpret CMARC Rx trend and present data. Ability to take challenges for attaining breakthrough achievement through customized campaigns and marketing interventions
2. Innovation/Creativity: Ability to ideate and execute new initiatives to bring novelty to brand promotions. Should also possess ability to create alternatives
3. Influencing Skills: Ability to listen to the field employees patiently and then communicate with them in an effective manner
4. Business Acumen: Ability to understand the business landscape and organizational direction and apply the same to align all activities.
5. Prioritization and time management: Multitasking- ability to handle innovative and operational tasks at the same time
