Post: Director - Central Drugs Testing Laboratory
It is proposed to fill the vacant post of Director, Central Drugs Testing Laboratory, Mumbai in the Grade Pay Rs.870O + Pay Band-4 (Rs.37400-670D0), Group 'A' Gazetted, Non-Ministerial under the Directorate General of Health Servtcas from officers by Promotion/ Deputation .[Including short-term contract (ISTC) from Officers under the Central Govt./ State Govts / Recognized Research Institutions/ Public Sector Undertakings/' Semi-Government,' Autonomous or Statutory organization]
(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis; or
(ii) with 5 years' regular service in posts in the Grade Pay Rs 7600(Pay Band-3 (Rs 15600-39100) in the revised pay structure or equivalent Or
(iii) with 10 years' regular service in posts in the Grade Pay Rs.6600(Pay Barid-3 (Rs. I 5600-39100) in the revised pay structure or equivalent
In addition, the candidate shall also fulfil the educational and other qualifications prescribed for direct recruits as under
Essential
i) Master's Degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Pharmacy/ Microbiology/ Pharmacology/ Physiology/ Botany/ Veterinary Science from a recognized University or equivalent, and
ii) 12 years experience in testing of drugs and coordinating the activities of different branches of a drugs testing laboratory.
[Period of deputation (ISTC) including period of deputation (ISTC) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/ department of the Central Government shall not exceed 5 years The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation (ISTC) shall be not exceeding 56 (fifty six) years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.]
The officer selected on deputation will have the option to draw his scale of pay plus deputation (duty) allowance in accordance with the Department of Personnel & Trg's O.M No 6/8/2009-EsU. (P II) dated 17 06.2010 as amended from time to time
The Departmental SSO-I (Chemistry) with 10 years' regular service in the grade will also be considered along with outsiders and m case he/she is selected for appointment to the pest the same shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion
