Job Description
Fellow-DDevelopment of new biomaterials for use in next generation drug delivery systems and implant products via synthesis, formulation, fabrication, and characterization of candidates with aim of achieving targeted bulk and surface properties. Supplement the ongoing activity.
Qualification (Essential)
Ph.D in Materials science / Biomaterials, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Pharmacy or related field with at least 3 years of post doctoral experience.
Qualification (Desirable)
Ph.D in Development of Micro / nanoparticles based advanced drug delivery systems
Experience (Essential)
Sound knowledge of structure – property relation ships as it applies to both bulk and surface attributes of polymeric materials is essential.
Experience (Desirable)
Experience in one or more of the following technology areas:
development of materials for drug delivery systems, biomedical material synthesis , cross – linked / modified biomaterials, hydrogels, biodegradable polymers or vehicles, biomaterial-tissue interfaces, polymer fabrication processes, and tissue scaffolding / engineering is desirable. Ability to provide leadership in maintaining the facility such as AFM, Raman Microscope ,TEM, RTPCR, HPLC, DSC, Image analyzer, Langmuir Blodget facility etc.
