Job Description:
1)Candidate must be capable of working independently, to drive a collaborative program in the discovery and development of an engineered antibody for therapeutic use.
2) Candidate must be able to start from early Molecular Biology, antibody generation, engineering and production of recombinant product in a heterologous host, establishment of in vitro assays for characterization of the engineered antibodies, establishment of in vivo models for efficacy and PK analysis.
3)He/she would have to build and lead a team of scientists to carry out the above activities as well as be responsible for design, execution, data analysis and presentation of results.
4)Should have broad knowledge of Molecular Biology, Recombinant antibody generation, protein sciences (purification and analysis), in vitro assay development (expertise with BIAcore would be plus), and in vivo pharmacology especially with respect to animal models such as xenografting.
Candidate profile:
1)Ph.D. in a Biology field such as Cell Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, etc.
2) Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial experience in the discovery and development of antibody-based biotherapeutics.
3)Communication, writing and presentation skills should be excellent
4)Leadership abilities to manage and mentor a group of scientists with different skill sets
5)Project management
6)Innovation and motivation
