Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), an autonomous research institute supported by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, and International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), USA are seeking a Program Director for their new joint collaborative program to accelerate and advance HIV vaccine research and development. The program shall be an integral part of the THSTI’s research activities and will be closely linked to global network of R&D facilities, including IAVIs Neutralizing Antibody Consortium (NAC) and IAVI Design and Development lab, situated in Brooklyn, New York. The Design Lab examines novel AIDS vaccine platforms and immunogens, standardizes preclinical testing of AIDS vaccine candidates, and develops candidates for evaluation in clinical trials
TRANSLATIONAL HEALTH SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE (THSTI) is an autonomous Institute of the Department of Biotechnology under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.
A walk-in interview will be held to fill up the post of Research Associate (RA) in extra-mural project funded by the Department of Biotechnology.
Post: Research Associate - 2 posts
Emoluments: Rs. 22000-24000 + HRA
Date and time of interview: 24th March, 2 PM -5 PM
Essential Qualifications and experience
RA : Doctorate (PhD/MD) or an equivalent degree or 3 years of research experience after MVSc / MPharm.
Desirable: Experience in mammalian cell culture system and signal transduction research
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. Interview will be held from 2 PM to 5 PM. Candidates will be called for interview on first-come-first-serve basis. Candidates arriving after 4 PM will not be interviewed.
2. Candidates appearing for RA interviews are required to bring a copy of their Ph.D. thesis.
3. Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are waiting for the award of their Ph.D. degree are also eligible to apply for RA position.
4. Appointment will be made on a contract for a period of 1 year at a time with a possibility of extension up to 3 years based on satisfactory performance review. There will be an initial probation period of 6 months that may be extended at the discretion of the competent authority.
