The Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology is one of the National Institute under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research which is an autonomous body. It is located on a 250 acres of land with the backdrop of snow-covered peaks of Dhauladhar Range in salubrious climate. The Institute is engaged in research and technology development programmes for sustainable management of bioresources of the Himalayas. The Institute has successfully carried out mission-oriented projects on tea, temperate floriculture and aromatic plants and is well equipped for Tissue culture and Biotechnology. Facilities include Tea Processing Unit, FRP greenhouses and equipments like GC-MS, FT-IR, Ultrascan, Automated DNA sequencers, Phosphoimager, Q-TOF, XL Laser densitometer, HPLCs, MALDI-TOF, CONFOCAL MICROSCOPY, C02 Extractor, FPLC, HP-TLC, IRGA, NMR, Scintillation counter, computer networking etc.
Walk-in-Interview is to be held on March 17, 2011 F.N. (Thursday) for engagement of project assistant in the projects entitled "Utilization of apple pomace for high end product development (GAP-0139)" and "Comparative evaluation of Arnebia species with specific reference to metabolome related to shikonin synthesis - in situ (GAP 0140)" respectively on purely temporary basis (co-terminus with the project) for the following position:
Project Title - "Utilization of apple pomace for high end product development (GAP-0139)"
Project Assistant Level - II (Rs. 16,000/- PM for NET qualified and Rs. 12,000/- PM for Non-NET qualified OR as per the provisions in the Project)
Qualification: M.Sc. in Food Technology/ Nutraceuticals/ Pharmaceuticals/ Food Biotechnology/ Food Biochemistry/ Life Sciences. Working knowledge in fractionation of bioactive molecules from wastes will be preferred.
Project Title – "Comparative evaluation of Arnebia species with specific reference to metabolome related to shikonin synthesis – in situ (GAP 0140)"
Project Assistant Level - II (Rs. 8,000/- PM OR as per the provisions in the Project)
Qualification: B.Sc. in agriculture/ horticulture/ forestry/ life science.
Age: 28 years as on the date of interview
