Post: Scientific Business Officer

Job Description:
The incumbent will be responsible to generate prescription through science based communication within assigned territory by implementing defined strategies.


Major responsibilities:
1. Territory Analysis:
a) Do regular potential analyses by auditing the prescriptions received by retailers, so as to understand Rx trend of our products/doctor potential and modify communication strategy accordingly to position the products in a favorable manner
b) Conduct surveys to understand the existing and new product market potential.
c) Ensure updated customer list
2. Product Promotion:
a) Influence the doctor to prescribe products effectively
b) Ensure top-of-the mind recall of products
c) Ensure all the inputs are invested as scheduled without deviations/dilutions of Head Office strategies
d) Launch activities/ camps/ CME’s etc as per plan to gather momentum for Rx for new products in liaison with Project Management Team
3. Customer Relationship Management:
a) Keep a track of specific customer needs and provide feedback regarding the same to ASM / RSM / HO
b) Device innovative approaches and strategies to build strong relationships with Doctors
4. Business Development:
a) Build customer and market base for achieving present and future business objectives by identifying new customers and redefining product positioning as per the PMT guideline if required
5. Sales Target Achievement:
a) Achieve growth and profitability in a given territory through generating prescriptions by effectively delivering the roles and responsibilities

Candidate Profile:
1. Product Knowledge: In depth and updated knowledge of the assigned therapy
2. Decision Making: Have the ability to analyze a situation and take action based on it
3. Result Orientation: Should have a result oriented approach with a consistency in achieving targets and always strives for higher and difficult targets
4. Customer Service Orientation: Should have the intention to help or serve and build relationships with the customers, to meet their needs. Also focus one’s efforts on discovering and meeting the customer’s needs and expectations
5. Analytical Ability: Tries to understand and solve the problems faced
6. Communication and Influencing: Effective in chamber communication with positive body language and an ability to sell the perception created by the PMT to the doctors
7. Professional Expertise: Should have good knowledge of the FAB (features, advantages and benefits) of the product he handles and also competitor products. Should also possess good knowledge about the company’s strategies and policies and its impact on employee behavior
8. Teamwork and Interdependence: Can actively contribute to the team by working in collaboration towards the common goal and help in keeping the team’s moral and spirits high
1. Required Education: Science Graduate / B. Pharmacy
2. Minimum Experience:
• 18-24 months experience in niche therapies
