National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an ‘Institute of National Importance’. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. Post: Sr. 3 PRINCIPAL SCIENTIFIC OFFICER {UR-01; Age Limit: 50}
Essential Qualification & Experience:
M.Sc./M.Tech with 55% marks and fifteen years experience in the scale up of API’s and/or different dosage formulations.
OR
Ph.D with consistently good academic record with eight years experience in the scale up of API’s and/or different dosage formulations.
Desirable:
Having experience in systems involved in scale up of pharmaceuticals operations, process validation, process controls, equipment validation and documentation. The candidate shall be responsible for management of Institute’s API and dosage formulations pilot plants. Exposure to latest practice in QA, GMP and regulatory affairs, in pharmaceutical industry, shall be added advantage. Requirement of qualification and experience can be relaxed for candidates having outstanding industrial experience.
Remuneration and Benefits:
Pay Band-4 (Rs.37400-67000) plus Grade Pay of Rs.8700/- and other allowances as per Central Government Rules.
Post: Sr. 7 TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR GRADE – I / SCIENTIST GRADE – I { Total Posts: 20; SC-03, ST-01, OBC-06, PH-01, UR-09; Age Limit: 40}
Essential Qualification & Experience (any one of the following):
a) M.Sc. with 55% marks and six years experience in research/teaching.
b) M.Pharm. with four years experience in research/teaching.
c) M.Sc. (Instrumentation/Analytical Chemistry) with six years experience in handling/operation of spectroscopic/analytical instruments.
d) B.V.Sc./M.Sc. with 55% marks with six years experience in animal house operations and animal breeding.
Or
Ph.D. with two years experience in animal house operations and animal breeding.
e) M.Sc./B.Tech./B.Pharm. with six years experience in scale up and process development. Or
M.Tech./M.Pharm. with four years experience in scale up and process development.
f) Diploma in Engineering with eight years experience in relevant field.
Or
B.E./B.Tech. with 55% marks with six years experience in relevant field.
Or
M.E./M.Tech. with 55% marks with four years experience in relevant field.
Desirable:
The vacancies are in the fields of Central Animal Facility, Central Instrumentation Lab, Computer Centre, Intellectual Property Rights Cell, Technology Development Centre, National Bioavailability Centre, National Toxicology Centre, Centre for Infectious Diseases, National Centre for Pharmacoinformatics, Small Medium Pharmaceutical Industry Centre, Pharmaceutical Heritage Centre, Centre for Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology, National Centre for Safety Pharmacology, Central Biological Lab and Central Biological Testing Lab. The experience should be relevant to the field of vacancies.

GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview. The Institute reserves the right to place reasonable limit on the total number of candidates to be called for interview.
2. Institute reserves the right to withdraw advertised post(s) at any time without assigning any reason. Institute also reserves the right to fill or not to fill any post(s) and its decision in this regard shall be final.
3. Reservation policy will be followed as per Government of India rules. The SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates are required to attach valid category certificate as per format prescribed by the Government of India.
4. The process of selection may include presentation / seminar / test /interview or a combination thereof.
5. Envelope containing the application form must be super scribed with ‘Application for the post of ________ (whichever is applicable)’.
6. Applicant(s) serving in Government / Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous organizations must send their application ‘Through proper channel’, failing which the same will not be considered.
