University of Pune, one of the premier universities in India, is positioned in the North-western part of Pune city. It occupies an area of about 411 acres. It was established on 10th February, 1948 under the Poona University Act. The university houses 46 academic departments. It is popularly known as the 'Oxford of the East'. Position: 1 Research Associate Post (1 SC*),
Funding: Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, New Delhi, India.
Fellowship: Rs. 20,000/- per month (consolidated)
Period: 1 year (2011-2012)
Qualifications: Ph.D. Degree in Molecular biology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Life Sciences with first class or equivalent GPA of the credit-based system at M.Sc. Evidence of research experience in the above specialization. Preference will be given to candidates who have published in peer reviewed journals of high impact factor.
