Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram is an Institute of National Importance established by an Act of the Indian Parliament and under the 2 administrative control of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The Institute signifies the convergence of Medical Sciences and Technology and its mission is to enable the indigenous growth of biomedical technology, besides demonstrating high standards of patient care in medical specialties and evolving postgraduate training programs. It has a hospital for tertiary care of cardiovascular and neurological diseases, and research programmes in the areas of basic and applied medical sciences, a Biomedical Technology Wing with facilities and research programmes for developing medical devices from a conceptual stage to commercialization, and The Achutha Menon Centre for Health Science Studies for training and research in public health.

Qualification & Experience:
For JRF-1 M.Sc (1st Class) in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry with one year experience in animal experiments with knowledge in ELISA assay, tissue culture and biochemical analysis and NET qualified.
For JRF-2 M.Sc (1st class) in Polymer Chemistry / Polymer Technology / Chemistry with One year experience in polymer development and analysis and NET qualified.
Salary:
(1) 16,000/- + 20 % HRA (Consolidated) for 1st and 2nd year and 18,000/- + 20 % HRA (Consolidated) during 3rd year for those who qualified for the Ph.D programme of SCTIMST and NET.
(2) 12,000/- + 20 % HRA (Consolidated) for 1st and 2nd year and 14,000/- + 20 % HRA (Consolidated) during 3rd year for those who qualified for the Ph.D programme of SCTIMST and NET lectureship.
Age: Below 35 years as on 30-6-2011.
