National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an 'Institute of National Importance'. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.

PROJECT VACANCY, WALK-IN-INTERVIEW (Advt. No. 1/2011)
Qualification:
Master Degree in Pharmacy/Museology/Indian History/Ancient Indian History & Archaeology/ Fine Arts or its equivalent from a recognized university. Knowledge in development of Pharmaceutical discipline in India (from ancient health care system to modern pharmacy) and proficiency in computer applications.
Salary: 12000 per month
Age Limit: 35 years (may be relaxed depending upon the suitability of qualification & experience & Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH as per GOI rules). The fellowship is initially for one year and may be extendable based on the performance evaluation.
Walkin-Interview will be held on 19.1.2011 at 3.00 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Secretariat Building, NIPER, S. A. S. Nagar.
Candidates should bring an application on plain paper giving details of educational qualification, experience (if relevant) with name of the Institution, post held etc. names and contact details of at least two persons, who can be contacted for recommendation, should be included. Application should be accompanied by demand draft for Rs. 50/- (Rs. 25/- for ST/SC/PH) in favour of “Director NIPER”, drawn on any scheduled bank payable at Mohali/Chandigarh. Reservation of SC/ST and PH is as per the GOI rules.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Interview.
