National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an ‘Institute of National Importance’. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.

Applications are invited for following temporary contractual position for the Dept. of Science & Technology, GOI sponsored project under Dr. K.B. Tikoo (PI), Dept. of Pharmacology & Toxicology.
Salary: Rs. 14000 + HRA= 16000/- p.m. (consolidated)
Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Biological Science / Pharmacology / Toxicology or M.Pharm in Pharmacology / Toxicology.
Age limit: Below 28 years (age relaxation for SC/ST/PH is as per GOI rules).
Duartion: One Year Only
The interested candidates who fulfill the aforesaid essential qualification may appear for walk-in interview at Convention Centre on 24th August 2011 at 3:00 p.m. along with detailed CV, photocopies of all relevant mark sheets/certificates, and a DD of Rs. 100/- (Rs. 50/- in case of SC/ST) issued against the name of Director, NIPER, S. A. S. Nagar in any bank at Mohali/Chandigarh. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.
