Job Description:
• Carry out multi-step syntheses of organic compounds which are obtained in high purity for testing as Agro chemicals
• Ability to work on more than 1 program of synthetic chemistry in parallel, using either Syngenta procedures, literature, or patent procedures
• Where necessary, elaborate improvements to processes in order to solve synthetic or scale up problems
• Ability to choose the correct methods for reaction work-up and purification.
• Expert in the use of relevant analytical methods, and ability to independently interpret the results
• Exact in the recording and reporting of research results and laboratory protocols
• Work to agreed Syngenta standards with respect to quality and HSE
• Responsible for the upkeep of the laboratory infrastructure and stocking of chemicals
Desired Profile:
• MSc in Chemistry, specialising in synthetic organic chemistry
• should have 3-4 years of experience in industry .
• Excellent experimental skills
• Able to plan and organise work to achieve a high level of productivity and to meet important deadlines.
• Experience with the use of hard-copy and computer-based chemical information systems
• Good knowledge of written English
• Team player and people skills

Job Description:
• Support product development and registration by providing timely support and technical advice
• Contribute to a product chemistry group and conduct, under the direction of a study director, test material characterization studies that fully meet world-wide regulatory requirements to facilitate registration.
• Support the supply chain by providing reliable and efficient analytical methods, and assisting in problem solving.
• Characterize analytical references and certified substances to meet development and production schedule requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all company HS&E policies and GLP. Provide training to all levels of scientist to enable safe and competent performance.
Desired Profile:
• MSc in Science area with 3-5 years relevant experience.
• Excellent experimental skills
• Able to plan and organise work to achieve a high level of productivity and to meet important deadlines.
• IT literate
• Sound understanding of GLP and knowledge of formulation/Ai Product Chemistry
• Good knowledge of written English
• Team player, flexible and with people skills
• Good theoretical Knowledge of chromatography and a wide range of analytical techniques.
• Excellent Practical skills with HPLC and GC, and familiarity with other analytical techniques.
• Desirable to have knowledge of Phys–chem tests for Formulations.
• Good Report writing skills (in English)
