NIPER is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an ‘Institute of National Importance’. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.

Project Title : Enantioselective enzymatic synthesis of (S)-1-bromo-3-chloro-2-propanol an intermediate for the chiral drugs”
Qualification :
(i) M.Tech in biological/pharmaceutical sciences or M.Sc in Chemistry/Life Sciences with twoyears relevant experience for SRF(iii) Ph.D. in biological/pharmaceutical sciences or M.Tech./M.Pharm. with threeyears research experience in the relevant subject.
Period : Initially for one year, extendable upto two and half years based on performance of the candidate and is co-terminus with the duration of the project. There is only one post. Candidate will be selected depending on the suitability of required experience and qualification.
Pay Scale:
SRF-Rs.18,000/-to20,000/- + HRA
RA-Rs. 22,000/-to24,000/- + HRA, depending on qualification & experience
