Title of Project : Studying the ribosomal RNA (rRNA) diversity, functional relevance of rRNA processing factor 2 (RPF2) in ribosome biogenesis, root, shoot development and drought stress tolerance in rice.
Age Limit : Below 35 years
Duration : Up to 24.04.2027
Emoluments : Rs. 42,000/- + HRA
Qualification : MSC in Biotechnology / Biochemistry Microbiology / Plant Biology / Life Sciences from a recognized university. Should have strong experience in design and development of research experiments related to plant physiology, functional biology. Candidate should have strong experience in genetic engineering, synthetic/structural biology, or metabolic pathway modification, preferably in rice photosynthesis with good analytical skills and familiarity with omics approaches (transcriptomics/proteomics) and bioinformatics tools will be preffered.
Job description :
• Engineering and functional characterization of ribosomal RNA processing factors and associated genes in rice.
• rRNA profiling, Development of gene edited plants.
• Data Integration & Reporting: Analyze experimental datasets (physiological, molecular, gas flux).
• Assisting in project coordination and mentoring junior researchers / students.
