The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an institution of national importance and a statutory body established by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. It functions as a UNESCO Category II Centre with regional and global partnerships. RCB’s primary mandate is to provide world-class education and training, and to conduct innovative, interdisciplinary research in biotechnology to develop high-quality human resources in a globally competitive research environment.
Post : Project - JRF position
Title of Project : Deciphering the drug sensing pathway/s for the development of a therapeutic regime against multidrug-resistant fungus Candida auris.
Duration : Initially for one year may be extended based on annual evaluation (till the duration of the project).
Age Limit : Below 28 Years
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc./ MTech in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Molecular biology / Biochemistry / Microbiology /Bioinformatics / genomics and any National level eligibility test qualified such as GATE, NET, DBT etc.
Desirable Qualifications : The candidate should have experience working with yeast and Candida species. Preference will be given to candidates with at least 2 years of research experience, along with publications in relevant fields, and expertise in molecular biology, yeast genetics, and bioinformatics. The ideal candidate should be hardworking, a team player, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
