Pharma, Chemistry Fellowship at Institute of Chemical Technology

Established on October 1, 1933 as University Department of Chemical Technology (popularly called UDCT) of the University of Bombay (now Mumbai), with the noble intention of advancing India's knowledge reserves in chemical science and technology, the Institute has grown to become a premier (deemed) university devoted to education, training, research and industrial collaboration in chemical engineering, chemical technology, applied chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology and bio-processing. The then UDCT grew in stature over the years and was granted partial autonomy by the University of Mumbai in 1985, which was taken to the next echelon under the concept of autonomy propagated by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Applications are invited for the post of Research Fellow / Project Associate.

Project Title : Creation of Nodal Centers for Development and Production of Key Starting Materials, Intermediates and other Raw Materials required by the Health Care Sector.

Essential Qualifications : M.Sc Chemistry / M.Pharm / M.Tech Pharm (worked on multiple-steps chemical synthesis will be preferred)

Experience and Desirable : Candidate with 1-2 years of experience in the area of API Process development of intermediates and will be preferred

Fellowship : Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA

Duration : 1 (One) year

Job Description : The candidate will work on API/API intermediates process Development & optimization/scale-up to overcome the raw- materials import dependency for healthcare sector.

The selection of the candidate will be carried out through Online/Physical interview. If we receive a large number of applications, we will scrutinize and shortlist candidates for interviews. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview in online/offline mode. The candidate may be admitted to the Ph.D program at ICT Mumbai subject to the admission criteria of the Institute. The committee's recommendation will be final. No TA/DA will be provided to appear for this interview.
