Opportunity for Life Sciences candidates to Join NIAB

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the position of Principal Project Associate (PPA) at the BRIC- National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (BRIC-NIAB), Hyderabad, for the Centre for Advanced Veterinary Diagnostics and Pathogen Genomics (CAVDPG).

Post : Principal Project Associate (PPA)

The selected candidate will serve as key technical personnel for establishment and operationalization of CAVDPG, including development and validation of diagnostic protocols, SOPs and quality systems, coordination of diagnostic activities and stakeholders, training/supervision of technical personnel, and oversight of sample processing, testing, documentation and reporting.

Essential Qualification & Experience : Four year Bachelor’s Degree / BVSc / MSc degree, including the integrated PG degrees from a recognized University or equivalent degree in Life sciences and eight years' experience in R&D in industrial or academic/S&T institutions with scientific activities and services,
OR Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Life sciences from a recognized University or equivalent and Six years’ experience in R&D in industrial or academic/S&T institutions with scientific activities and services,
OR Doctoral Degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University and four years' experience in R&D in industrial or academic/S&T organizations with scientific activities and services.

Desirable Experience : Candidates with demonstrated experience in molecular biology, microbiology and/or immunoassay-based diagnostics, particularly in development, standardization and validation of diagnostic assays, will be preferred. Experience in SOP preparation, diagnostic laboratory operations, accreditation-related documentation, sample processing and diagnostic reporting will be an advantage.

Fellowship : ₹67,000/- + HRA (If applicable)

Age : Maximum 50 years.

Duration : The engagement will initially be for 11 months and may be extended based on CAVDPG requirements, satisfactory performance and availability of funds. The engagement will be temporary and governed by applicable BRIC-NIAB norms.
