The Central Drugs Laboratory, Kolkata is the national statutory laboratory of the Government of India for quality control of Drug and Cosmetics and is established under the Indian Drug & Cosmetics Act, 1940. It is the oldest quality control laboratory of the Drug Control Authorities in India. It functions under the administrative control of the Director-General of Health Services in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Post : Research Assistant (Pharmacognosy)

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appointment by the Deputation (including short term contract) as per available RR to the post of Research Assistant (Pharmacognosy), Group B, Non-Gazetted, Level-7 (Rs.44900-142400) in the Central Drugs Laboratory, Kolkata, CDSCO, DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

Eligibility Criteria
Deputation : Officers under the Central Government holding analogous posts or with 5 years’ regular service in posts in the scale of Rs. 425-700 or equivalent and possessing the educational qualifications laid down for direct recruits in column 7. The departmental Assistant Pharmacognocist with 5 years’ regular service in the grade will also be considered and if he is selected for appointment to the post, it will be treated as having been filled by promotion. (Period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years.

Pay : Level-7 (Rs.44900-142400)

List of documents to be sent along with the application :
1. Application in prescribed Format-Annexure II duly filled in and signed by the candidate and countersigned with seal by the Cadre/Appointing authority.
2. Attested copies of APAR/ACRs for the last 5(five) years duly attested on each page by and officer not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Government of India.
3. Integrity Certificate.
4. Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
5. Statement of major or minor penalties, if any, imposed on the officer during the last 10 years of service.
6. A certificate to the effect that the particulars furnished by the candidate have been verified and found correct as per service records.
7. Cadre Clearance Certificate.
