ICMR-National Animal Resource Facility for Biomedical Research(ICMR-NARFBR), Hyderabad, functioning under the aegis of Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Health Research, MoHFW, GoI, is in the process of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) accreditation for its laboratories. This institute intends to engage a full time consultant, purely on contractual terms, to undertake various administrative works involved in GLP certification, initially for a period of one year. The qualification and other details are given below.

Period of engagement : 01 year initially, extendable as per the requirement and performance.
Essential Qualification : Professionals having M.Sc./M.V.Sc./M.Pharm/M.Tech/ MBA qualification with Research and Development experience and published papers on Preclinical animal trails under GLP. OR Retired Government employees with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/- (Level-7 of 7 CPC Pay Matrix) and above and having at least 20 years’ experience in the GLP certified preclinical trials.
Desirable qualification : At least 10 years of working experience in Preclinical trails in GLP certified lab or Preclinical GLP certification process. Must be aware of OECD Principles of GLP and OECD Test Guidelines.
Job Description : Preparation of application for GLP certification of ICMR- NARFBR and relevant documents, in compliance with the OECD/NGCMA guidelines. Liaisoning with GLP certification authorities on behalf of ICMR-NARFBR. Preparation of responses to the queries/observations/ compliance, if any, raised by the GLP authorities. Other activities related to GLP certification, as assigned by Director, ICMR-NARFBR, from time to time.
Maximum Age limit : 64 years
Remuneration : Rs. 70,000 to Rs.1,00,000 per month (consolidated) commensurate with the qualification & experience.
Other terms and conditions
1. The Consultant shall not be entitled to any other honorarium or allowances such as Dearness Allowance, Residential telephone, Transport facility, Residential accommodation, personal staff, CGHS and Medical reimbursement or any other allowances on par with regular employees of ICMR.
2. Consultants shall be eligible for 10 days leave at par to 8 CL & 2 RH in a year on pro-rata basis and he shall not draw any remuneration in case of his/her absence from work beyond 10 days in a year to be calculated on pro-rata basis. Un-availed leave during the period of engagement will not be carried forward in case of renewal.
3. No TA/DA shall be admissible for joining the assignment or on its completion. However, the consultants shall be allowed TA/DA for their travel inside the country in connection with the official work as per his/her entitlement at the time of retirement in case of Govt. Servant. For external professionals class/mode of journey would be by economy class only as per rules. Consultant will be provided transport facility for local official duty.
4. Remuneration in case of retired Central Government Employees will be dealt as per Dept. of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, GoI, OM F.No.3025/2020-E.IIIA, dated 09.12.2020, as amended from time to time shall be followed.
5. The Place of work of the Consultant is at ICMR-National Animal Resource Facility for Biomedical Research, Genome Valley, Shamirpet Mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri District and he shall be ready for domestic travel on official work as and when required.
6. The appointment of consultant is of temporary in nature and can be terminated by giving not less than one months’ notice on either side at any time without assigning any reason.
7. The consultant shall be completely accountable for any advice / service rendered by him/her during his/her engagement in the Institute in view of the norms of ethical business and professionalism.
8. This is a full time position at ICMR-NARFBR, Hyderabad. Working hours shall normally be from 09:30 am to 06:00 pm during working days. However, in exigencies of work, he / she may be required to work beyond office hours and on Saturday/Sunday/Gazetted Holidays at no extra payment.
9. Since, the position is purely on temporary/contractual basis, no benefit of Provident Fund, Leave Travel Concession, Medical, etc. will be available to the appointee.
10. Selected candidates have to sign an agreement of contractual engagement with ICMR- NARFBR, Hyderabad.
11. The position is to be filled-up purely temporary and on contractual basis and the candidate will have no right to claim for any type of Permanent Employment under ICMR-NARFBR or continuation of his / her services in any other project of the Institute.

• The application should be submitted complete in all respects, the credentials attached may list out the educational qualifications of the applicants, their areas of expertise and any prior work experience and must be self- attested.
• Submission of incorrect or false information shall disqualify the candidature at any stage.
• Reference from past employers may be included, but are not mandatory.
• Age limit and experience will be considered as on last date of receipt of application.
• The application must include contact details of the candidate, including residential address, email ID and mobile number for the purpose of communication.
• This Institute will review the applications, and will shortlist the suitable candidates.
• The short- listed candidates will be called for an interview (mode of interview shall be intimated). The date, time and venue of the interview will be conveyed through email only.
• Candidates will have to make their own arrangement to reach the place of interview or in case of virtual interview, the applicant has to be ready through electronic media communication.
• No TA/DA will be payable by the Institute to attend the interview in case of interview in person.
• The final selection will be based on their performance at the time of Interview and the decision of the Competent Authority i.e., the Director, ICMR-NARFBR shall be final. The last date for receiving application through email is 19-09-2024 till 5:30 pm.
• Applications received after the closing date and time or without the prescribed documents or otherwise found incomplete or not in the prescribed proforma are liable to be rejected, and no correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
