NMPB looking for Program Manager, Domain Expert, Consultant - M.Pharm, MSc Apply

National Medicinal Plants Board In order to promote medicinal plants sector, the Government of India has set up National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) on 24th November 2000. Currently the board is working as a section of Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha & Homoeopathy), Government of India. The primary mandate of NMPB is to develop an appropriate mechanism for coordination between various ministries/ departments/ organizations in India and implements support policies/programs for overall (conservation, cultivation, trade and export) growth of medicinal plants sector both at the Central /State and International level.

The undersigned is directed to say that National Medicinal Plants Board, Ministry of AYUSH proposes to prepare a panel for engagement of One (01) Program Manager, One (01) Domain Expert, Five (05) Project Management Consultants and One (01) Junior Consultant on contract basis. The short -listed candidates will be considered for engagement as per the requirement of the National Medicinal Plant Board.

Program Manager (Institutional Strengthening) - 01 post
Nature & Period of Engagement Purely on Contract basis. Initial for a period upto 31.03.2025. May further be extended on year to year basis, subject to functional requirement and also subject to appraisal of the Performance.
Remuneration : payable 75,000/- per month consolidated
Eligibility & Qualifications Essential Qualification and Experience:
i) Master’s degree in Botany/ Medicinal Plants / Dravyaguna / Pharmacognosy/ Forestry / Agronomy/Agri-business/Agri- engineering/Horticulture.
ii) Minimum 7 years’ experience after post-graduation level in promotion, Training & Capacity Building, Research & Development of medicinal plants in may Govt. Organization/ Public Sector Undertaking/ reputed Institution
Desirable Qualification : Ph.D.in relevant subject.
Desirable Experience : Preference will be given to candidate having working experience in a reputed state/ central level Medicinal Plants Organization for coordinating/ implementing the programme /schemes related to promotion, Training & Capacity Building of medicinal plants.
Age Limit : The candidate should not be more than 50 years of age on the last date for receipt of application.

Domain Expert (Institutional Strengthening) - 01 post
Nature & Period of Engagement : Purely on contract basis, initially for a period up to 31.03.2025. May further be extended on year to year basis, subject to functional requirements and also subject to appraisal of the performance.
Age limit: Should not be more than 64 years of age on the last date for rcccipt of application. The age ceiling for continuation of contract shall be 65 years as on the date of renewal of contract year to year basis.
Remuneration payable Rs.75, 000/- per month consolidated
Eligibility & Qualifications : Essential Qualification and Experience:
(i)M.sc in Botany /Forestry / Agriculture /Taxonomi / Phamacognosy/ Dravyaguna.
(ii)Ten years’ experience in any Govt, organization /Public Scctor Undertaking /reputed Industries in Compilation and Collection of Raw material, Understanding of the market dynamics of Herbal Raw Material pricing and status of Demand Supply of Herbal Raw Material
Desirable Qualification: Ph.D.in concerned discipline.

Consultant (In-situ Resource Augmentation) - 01 Post
Age : The candidate should not be more than 45 years of age on the last date for rcccipt of application.
Eligibility & Qualifications : Essential:
i) M.Sc. Botany/Forestry/Agriculture/Taxonomi/Pharmacognosy, Dravyaguna;
ii) Two years’ experience in Taxonomi Pharmacognosy; Desirable:
i) Ph.D in Concerned discipline
ii) Experience in Survey/Agro Forestry /Collection and Cultivation of Medicinal Plants.
Nature & Period of Engagement : Purely on contract basis, initially for a period up to 31.03.2025. May further be extended on year to year basis, subject to functional requirements and also subject to appraisal of the performance.
Salary : Rs.50, 000/- per month consolidated.

Consultant (Joint Forest Management Committec-JFMC)
Age : The candidate should not be more than 45 years of age on the last date for receipt of application.
Eligibility & Qualification Essential:
i) M.Sc.in Botany/Forestry/Agriculture/Taxonomy/Pharmacognosy, Dravyaguna;
ii) Two years’ experience in Taxonomi/ Pharmacognosy;
Desirable :
i) Ph.D in Concerned discipline
ii) Experience in survey/Agro Forestry /Collection and Cultivation/ Conservation of Medicinal Plants.
Nature & Period of Engagement : Purely on contract basis, initially for a period up to 31.03.2025. May further be extended on year to year basis, subject to functional requirements and also subjcct to appraisal of the performance.
