National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER - Raebareli) is an autonomous body which has been established under the aegis of the Department of pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, in the Government of India, to provide leadership in pharmaceutical Sciences and other related areas. It admits students for M.S (Pharm), programmes in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Regulatory Toxicology and Biotechnology every year. Ph.D programmes in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology & Toxicology started from 2017 and in Biotechnology from 2021.
Post : Junior Research Assistant (JRA) for the UPCST sponsored Project
Applications are invited from Indian citizens, who are resident of Uttar Pradesh for the post of Junior Research Assistant (JRA) for the research project entitled ‘Synthesis, safety and efficacy of -aminobutyric acid linked curcumin nanodiamonds conjugate for the treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease” sponsored by Council of Science and Technology, U.P. Lucknow. The position is purely temporary with a consolidated stipend of INR 25,000/- per month for 02- years and 28,000 for 3rd year (without any other Govt benefit) will be governed by the norms of the funding agency CST U.P and the Institute norms of NIPER Raebareli.

Essential qualifications : The candidates should have a master’s degree (M.Pharm / M.S.(Pharm.) / M.Sc) in Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Sciences) or a PG degree in other relevant branch of Pharmacy and Science. The candidates must have 1st class or equivalent grade at Bachelors and Master’s levels.
Desirable skills : Preference may be given to candidates with exposure to organic synthesis and purification.
Age limit : Maximum 28 years as on 1st April 2024 (age relaxation for SC/ST/PH is as per GoI rules).
Tenure of Appointment : 3 years. The performance of the recruited JRA will be evaluated at the end of one year from the start of the project; and will be extended for another year based on satisfactory performance.
Notes :
1. The candidate must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
2. Mere possessing the prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate will be called for an interview. The candidate will be shortlisted based on merit and need of the project.
3. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email about the interview schedule within two weeks from the last date of application.
4. Shortlisted candidates must be present physically for the interview along with original certificates.
5. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
6. Since the position is purely temporary, no claim for regular appointment/continuation of services in any other project will be entertained.
